Following a shocking video that emerged last month that showed the music mogul violently assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Mayor Eric Adams requested that Sean” Diddy” Combs return New York’s honorary key to the city.
The Harlem local turned it into City Hall almost a year after Adams sent official papers to Combs ‘ New York and Los Angeles practices. Adams received the key in September.
According to the papers obtained by TMZ, Adams expressed his solidarity with victims of domestic violence and said the security footage left him “deeply disturbed.”
According to Adams,” The Key to the City of New York is presented to those whose service to the public and the typical fine exceeds the highest level of achievement and who serve as concept for other New Yorkers and aspiring citizens.”
The governor recently told 94.7’s” Jonesy in the Morning” that he and his crew, who had never before revoked a woman’s Essential to the City, had been , discussing following steps , in the midst of the movie’s release.
Following those , inside deliberations, the mayor finally requested Diddy to “immediately return his Essential to the City.”
Combs apparently returned his critical on Monday and the letters were dated June 4.
Next month, CNN published the 2016 surveillance images for the first time. The picture showed the Bad Boy Records leader cruelly beating , R&, B vocalist Cassie Ventura , in a motel doorway.
Combs later said he takes , “full responsibility for my actions in that video”  , and “was disgusted then when I did it” and is “disgusted now”.
In a resounding complaint filed by Ventura in November, Ventura claimed years of sexual and physical misuse had occurred throughout their marriage. One particular event that the match described coincided with the resort footage.
While Combs and Ventura settled the match the following morning,  , several others have since filed their personal lawsuits , accusing Combs of , related acts.
The video surfaced two decades after , Homeland Security raided Combs ‘ Miami and Los Angeles properties , in March, in what they confirmed was portion of a national sex trafficking sensor.
The investigation into Combs is continuing, with national authorities apparently preparing his prosecutors to potentially , speak before a great jury , in a New York City.
