Charles Jones, a Florida singer known as Julio Foolio, was tragically shot dead in Tampa on Sunday, only two weeks after his 26th day event, according to his lawyer, Lewis Fusco.
After being forced to leave an Airbnb where he was hosting a party, Jones, according to the New York Post, had been staying at a Holiday Inn resort in Tampa.
The singer shared an Instagram photo of himself and companions celebrating his birthday at the Airbnb before his death.
” Mr. Jones had been in Tampa to commemorate his birthday over the weekend”, Fusco said. According to law enforcement reports, he originally stayed at an Airbnb before being asked to leave because the ownership cap was too high. He later moved to the Holiday Inn, where he allegedly was ambushed in a parking lot affair.
When unexplained intruders opened fire on Jones and three other victims, according to police, were in their cars in the parking lot. No suspects have been detained as of Sunday evening, though authorities are now reviewing resort security film.
At Jones ‘ brother’s birthday party, Jones ‘ cousin and three other teenagers were killed in a gang-related shooting in 2018.
The musician had previously survived a 2021 bullet-grazed attempt on his career at his Jacksonville recording studio. Following the incident, Jones taunted his guns on Instagram, saying,” Y’all miss a total 100 shots absolutely”.
