Hezbollah, a militant group in Lebanon, claimed on Sunday that it used an armed drone to attack two military installations in northeastern Israel in response to the death of an Islamist chief.
Since the Gaza battle erupted on October 7, Israel and the strong Iran-backed organization Hamas supporter have exchanged close to normal cross-border gunfire.
In a video snippet that purported to show locations in Israel along with their coordinates, Hezbollah made the announcement shortly after it published the video snippet, stoking growing concerns about a full-fledged conflict between the two adversaries.
On Saturday, the Agitated Islamiya team announced the suicide of one of its leaders, Ayman Ghotmeh, saying he was killed “in a perilous Zionist attack” in Khiara in Lebanon’s northeast Bekaa place.
Israel after confirmed it had carried out the attack, saying Ghotmeh was responsible for supplying the Masjid Forces, Agitated Islamiya’s military aircraft, and Hamas with arms in the area.
In response to the death carried out by the Israeli army in the city of Khiara, Hezbollah claimed on Sunday that its fighters” with an assault drone” launched a strike on a military command place in the Beit Hillel camp.
A drone” crossed from Lebanon and fell in the area of Beit Hillel,” according to the Israeli government in a statement, adding that” no wounds were reported.”
Eventually, Hezbollah claimed to have attacked the “headquarters of the newly established 91st Division in Ayelet Hashahar” with a” regiment of rape drones” near the Safed, in northern Israel.
Cross-border conflicts have increased in recent days, with Israel’s defense reporting on Tuesday that a plan to launch an offensive in Lebanon had been “approved and validated.”
Hassan Nasrallah, the head of Hezbollah, retaliated by saying that Israel would be spared in the event of a full-fledged battle.
A video from Nasrallah’s speech, which states that” the resistance will fight without restrictions or guidelines, is released by the Lebanese armed group on Saturday evening, along with an excerpt from his speech, was released by the organization.
A nine-minute picture that apparently was captured by the action over northern Israel, including what it claimed were delicate military, defense, and infrastructure in the city and port of Haifa, had been distributed a few days before.
The mix- border murder has killed at least 480 individuals in Lebanon, most of them fighters but even 93 civilians, according to an AFP count.
Israeli officials say at least 15 warriors and 11 civilians have been killed in the government’s north.
