The far-right and far-left blocs ‘ agendas in France’s upcoming legislative elections pit the country’s citizens against one another, according to President Emmanuel Macron, who went so far as to claim that “extreme” parties could cause a” civil war.”
In an meeting with a Génération Do It Yourself podcast that aired on Monday night, Macron said that the far-right National Rally’s strategy to combat violence and insecurity “refers to persons of a church or an nature — it divides and it causes legal war.” He claimed that the far-left France Unbowed, a member of a hurriedly cobbled alliance, also propagates religious politics that could lead to similar hostilities.
With less than a week until the first round of voting, Macron’s camp’s extremely vehement responses reflect a last-ditch effort to win over citizens. His moderate group is currently in the lead behind the National Rally and the communist New Popular Front. Even though France’s two-round voting system makes prediction challenging, one pollster also suggested the far-right may win the most seats in the National Assembly.
His supporters have spoken out about the dangers of the far right or significantly left taking control of the country in the weeks following Macron’s wonder request to hold an election to maintain the National Assembly two weeks ago. Without providing any supporting data, Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire claimed that Marine Le Pen’s National Rally’s authorities had injury” legal serenity.” Additionally, he has cautioned against the economic impact of the far-right and left.
Opposition parties have accused Macron and his friends of using fear to intimidate citizens. The mind of the European Unbowed group, Jean- Luc Melenchon, on Monday rejected Macron’s” legal battle” comment, saying it’s the president who tends to break the French.
” He’s usually around when it comes to setting flames”, he said, alluding to new political conflicts in France’s overseas territory of New Caledonia.
The National Rally’s and the left-led coalition’s comments have had little to stop the elections ‘ fall. According to the most recent Ifop-Fiducial poll of voting intentions released on Monday, Le Pen’s party would prevail in the first round of the French legislative election with 36 %. The empire of left- aircraft parties would find 29.5 %, while Macron’s class may find 20.5 %.
In the weeks following Macron’s request for the ballot, buyers were concerned about how a new federal might increase the nation’s budget deficit. The risk premium between French and German bonds increased to their highest level since 2012 last year despite a slight decline on Monday.
Le Pen’s Party is still in the lead after the second round of voting on June 30. The far-right of France leads in the first round of election.
The election’s first round is scheduled for June 30; a next round is scheduled for July 7. Macron, who called for the ballot after his group lost the election for the European Parliament, made it clear in the radio that his party may lose.
Jordan Bardella, the head of the National Rally, has been working to convince voters that he can control the government’s business.
On Monday, he outlined the party’s plan to pay for a reduction in sales tax on energy and fuel — – which would cost €7 billion ($ 7.5 billion ) a year – by cutting France’s contribution to the EU budget, closing tax advantages for shipping firms and boosting levies on the profits of energy companies.
The only action to fulfill European people’s expectations is the National Rally, according to the statement. In three phrases: we are ready”, he said. We want to return the nation to its financial stability.
Le Pen’s Party Sees Having the Most Tickets | Estimated number of politicians in the French National Assembly
Most experts predict that the National Rally will have the largest group of members in the National Assembly, but they are short of the 289 seats required for an overall majority. According to the most recent poll conducted by Odoxa, the group will receive between 250 and 300 tickets.
In this scenario, where National Rally wins the majority of legislative seats but falls short of that majority, chaos would probably affect the lower house, making any ambitious legislation or reform difficult to pass.

Macron defended his call for a vote by claiming that the French people needed” a words” because there was a lot of sour anger it.
” It will be nobody’s fault the hour of the second round, it will be the responsibility of the French people”, he said. ” For me, it’s not a gamble, it’s trust” in the citizens, he added.
