Four years ago, a four-hour riot at the Capitol was n’t even among the top four issues facing voters as they prepare to cast their ballots between two presidents this fall.
However, the upheaval on January 6, 2021, as the system developed into the go-to platform for Liberals to distribute conspiracies surrounding the sporadic show of right-wing murder, undoubtedly claimed the lion’s share of CNN’s coverage for the next two, if not four, of the network’s coverage for the next two years, if not four. So it only made sense for the system to deploy issue reviewer Jake Tapper to bring up the subject in Thursday night’s 90-minute controversy after it became apparent that former representative Adam Kinzinger would never be reelected.
” What do you say to voters who believe that you violated]your constitutional ] oath through your actions and inaction on Jan. 6, 2021, and worry that you’ll do that again”, Trump said.
Trump responded by directly accusing then-Chair Nancy Pelosi of refusing to grant him a demand for the Capitol to be bolstered by 10,000 National Guard personnel for the joint session of Congress.
” I offered her 10, 000 men or National Guard, and she turned them down”, Trump said. Pelosi’s delegates on the House Select Committee on Jan. 6, but, refused to check the speaker’s do and yet concealed evidence of Democratic administration rejecting Capitol forces.
The previous president also made reference to late published images of Pelosi on Jan. 6 claiming “responsibility” for the security problems. The then-speaker was seen speaking to her chief of staff, Terri McCullough, in an SUV according to a report from the House Administration Subcommittee on Oversight this quarter as they were taken to Fort McNair.
” Why were n’t the National Guard there to begin with”? Pelosi squirmed vehemently while wearing a face helmet. They” clearly did n’t know,” and I take their fault for not letting them “prepare for more.”
President Joe Biden retorted by making the same accusations that ran on a loop over CNN’s endless panels for four years ( and again in Tapper’s question ), that Donald Trump “encouraged” the riot and did nothing for three hours as the violence broke out.
” He encouraged those people to go up on Capitol Hill”, Biden said, adding Trump” sat there for three days, three days, watching, begging, being begged by his vice president and a number of his colleagues on the Democratic side as also, to do something, to call for a halt, to stop it”.
” Instead, he talked about these people being patriots”, Biden added.
An honest look at the timeline on the day of the riot, however, reveals the Democrats ‘ talking points, exploited by the incumbent president, are nothing more than a far- left fantasy of Republican apathy. Biden’s three-hour timeline, which became one of the most widely used narratives for Democrats and the media when discussing the riot, is revisionist history for convicted Republicans who want to cover up their own errors.
The Washington Post time-marks the Capitol’s first break-in at roughly 2:15 p.m., and, according to The New York Times, Trump was n’t even finished speaking when the first barriers were stricken.
Trump tweeted at 2: 38 p. m. to” support our Capitol Police” and to” Stay Peaceful”!
Trump’s former director of national intelligence remarked to followers on X that the former president pleaded with protesters to “main peaceful” and “respect the law” once more at 3:13 p.m.
But “]Tapper ] did n’t mention this”, wrote Ric Grenell. Because this is CNN, Tapper was n’t going to, either.
