On Friday, the US Supreme Court made it more difficult to accuse Capitol rioters of obstructing the government, a cost that included former president Donald Trump. The justices decided 6 to 3 that evidence of obstructing an official proceeding may be provided in the complaint. Just some of the people who fiercely attacked the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, fall into that category. Although special lawyers Jack Smith has stated that the costs faced by the original governor would not be affected, it’s questionable how the judge’s decision will affect the situation against Trump. The Supreme Court of Justice sent the case of former police officer Joseph Fischer to a lower court to decide whether or not Fischer faces an barrier charge. For allegedly obstructing Congress ‘ approval of Democrat Joe Biden’s victory over Trump in the 2020 election, Fischer has been charged. Fischer is among about 350 people who have been charged with obstruction.
