More than 11, 000 people will take pledges to become&nbsp, U. S. citizens&nbsp, at more than 195 registration ceremonies countrywide during the week of&nbsp, July Fourth, according to the Biden administration.

The number is twice the 5,500 brand-new people who the nation welcomed at the country’s 180th birthday celebrations next year.

    U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Services did hold festivities at&nbsp, historical&nbsp, monuments and national gardens across the country between Friday, June 28, and Friday, July 5.

In a statement released on Friday night, USCIS Director Ur M. Jaddou said,” We have the honor of administering the Oath of Allegiance to thousands of new people during the Independence Day holiday.” We are dedicated to helping all who are ready to experience the rights and freedoms we enjoy as Americans, and these new citizens add variety and personality to our great country.

The most well- known places where festivities will take place this time include George Washington’s Mount Vernon home in Virginia, Battleship New Jersey, Gateway Arch National Park in Missouri, and Fort Clatsop, Lewis &amp, Clark National Historical Park in Oregon.

In governmental 2023, which ran from October 2022 through September 2023, the United States welcomed 875, 000 new people. Since governmental 2024 began in October 2023, 589, 400 refugees have become U. S. people.
