
According to authorities, six people were detained on Thursday night after attempting to cross a Cobb County street in protest of the Israel-Hamas conflict.
One of the protesters, a 21- season- old lady, cemented her hands to a vehicle that was used to prevent Olympic Industrial Drive immediately before 4: 30 a. m., Cobb police said.
She was eventually freed after firefighters and doctors worked their way to her release.
We recognize the value of the right to free speech and the right to assembly, but we do not support self-harm or hinder open streets, according to police spokeswoman Officer Aaron Wilson in a statement.
The female faces charges of loitering and prowling, blockage, motorist in the footpath, impeding the flow of traffic and poor preventing in the roadway.
Five others were also arrested. They face charges of loitering, prowling and poorly stopping in the roadway.
In an email, a class called Atlanta Against Genocide claimed responsibility for the protest, saying they were targeting Hudson Technologies. The company, which is based in Pearl River, New York, has  , a$ 250 million U. S. Department of Defense contract , to provide industrial gas and other materials to multiple foreign military customers, including Israel. Atlanta Against Genocide stated that Atlanta was protesting the Atlanta Public Safety Training Center and the Atlanta political debate on Thursday.
