A veiled pro- Arab protester , recorded terrorizing a crowded , Manhattan , train train , by screaming” Raise your hand if you’re a Zionist”! surrendered to authorities Wednesday, authorities said.
After seeing many wanted banners seeking his imprisonment,  , Anas Saleh, 24, surrendered to , NYPD , travel officers at the , Canal St.  , place with a solicitor in truck.
He was charged with attempted force, a criminal, and given a workplace demeanor solution. In a few days, he’s scheduled to answer the costs in Manhattan Criminal Court.
His experience covered with a black and white robe, Saleh reportedly stepped on a crowded train station at the , 14th St. Union Square train on , June 10 , and started chanting,” Raise your hand if you’re a Zionist! This is your chance to escape.”
When no one responded, Saleh said,” OK, no Zionists. We’re great”! before stepping out of the station.
As police cleared activists from the program, the coach was stationed.
Saleh was part of a protest in , Union Square , where images posted to social media shows a little group of demonstrators holding up a flag saying,” Much life October 7th”.
Activists then flooded into the train and rode down to , Wall St., where they staged a larger activity outside , the Nova Exhibition, a monument to the subjects of Hamas ‘ , Oct. 7 , attack that killed some 1, 200 Israelis. Thousands were taken prisoner.
” The Manhattan DA’s office and , NYPD , have been actively investigating this affair since it occurred”, a spokeswoman for , Manhattan , District Attorney , Alvin Bragg , said of the train affair. ” We encourage anyone with additional information to call ( 212 ) 335- 9040″.
At the , Wall St.  , opposition,  , footage , shows a rebel waving a symbol with Hamas ‘ logo on it and another with the sign of , Hezbollah, a Palestinian militant team also labeled a criminal organization by the , U. S.  , Someone else is seen holding a sign saying Zionists are” not people”.
The next day Mayor Adams joined relatives of the victims of , the , Oct. 7 , evil attack , to denounce the protesters, calling their steps “despicable”.
” Hamas is a terrorist organization” , , Adams , said. ” Hezbollah is a criminal organization. … Is this what , New York , represents? I say no”.
The word” Zionist” means anyone who supports , Israel , and believes in the development of a Hebrew state, but during the many protests over the , Hamas , battle in the town since , Oct. 7 , some protesters have been equating the word with just being Hebrew.
” Among too many activists,  , it’s now socially acceptable code for ‘ Jewish, ‘ ”, the New York Daily News Editorial Board wrote after the incident. According to the defense,” We’re going after people because they believe in Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state, not just because of the God they pray to.”
” Any Jew on such a car would have good reason to feel intimidated, just as if someone chanted’ Raise your hand if you’re gay,’ or ‘ Raise your hand if you’re Republican,’ or ‘ Raise your hand if you’re Black,’ followed by,’ This is your chance to get out,'” the , June 14 , editorial continued”. Every responsible , New York , leader should stand up against such vile behavior.”
