According to news agency AFP, two people have died, and one is missing after a landslide caused by heavy rains in southeast Switzerland, citing native police.
The region’s severe winds over the weekend caused the removal of thousands in the west after the Rhone River and its tributaries overflowed.
The authorities said in a declaration that firefighters had located the bodies of two individuals in the Fontana area during the disaster.
Almost 70 people are being evacuated from a trip station in Mogno while emergency services are determining the best way to remove 300 people from a football game in Peccia.
Earlier, authorities had noted that poor wind was hindering save efforts, with numerous rivers cut off and without power, according to the document.
Additionally, the canton’s ocean supply was reported to be lacking in some places.
Legal security forces in the northern province of Valais announced the evacuation of” some hundred” people and street shutdown after the Rhone River overflowed at different points.
The past weekend, southern Switzerland also experienced extraordinary precipitation, resulting in one death and considerable harm.
