According to the feds, two people who are suspected of belonging to the Sinaloa Cartel were detained on Thursday in connection with the 2022 execution-style death of a person at an adults-only lodge close to Miami International Airport.
Jimmy Sanchez and Tsvia Kol are accused of killing 46- yr- ancient Julio Gonzalez, who was found with a gunshot wound to the head on Nov. 30, 2022 in space 304 of the Aladdin Hotel, 901 S. Royal Poinciana Blvd., in Miami Springs.
The piece, both 36, are charged with a slew of national drug trafficking offenses. They could receive up to life in prison and up to$ 10 million in fines.
In April, Sanchez was put behind bars in Miami- Dade on a primary- degree murder cost. Kol, who reportedly served in the Sinaloa Cartel, was mentioned in Sanchez’s arrest permit, who was later released on Thursday without being charged with the murder. The syndicate, previously led by medicine king Joaquín” El Chapo” Guzmán, is an international coordinated crime gang focused on drug trafficking and money laundering.
Kol, however, has been imprisoned because of an unrelated national meth trafficking case, to which she received a nine-year prison sentence in May. Although it appeared to be alluded to and perhaps discussed during a toolbar that prosecutors agreed to have sealed, the killing was n’t straight mentioned during her sentencing.
Kol was indicted on the smuggling claims 21 days before — and detained two weeks after — Gonzalez’s shooting, court records show.
According to court documents, Kol agreed to stop trafficking medicines and work with federal agents before her arrest and acknowledged her presence in the gang. After being exonerated as an accomplice, she was detained and accused of eluded a legal action. Israel does n’t surrender their people.
But, on the day of Nov. 29, 2022, Kol lured Gonzalez to the lodge, sealing his fate, prosecutors allege. Federal officials believe she was attempting to track down a missing meth package that she believed Gonzalez had stolen.
Unraveling a crime?
According to a modern extract of her phone, Kol and Sanchez first communicated three weeks before the crime, with Kol coordinating Sanchez’s traveling from San Diego. When Sanchez arrived in Miami, he rented a dark SUV from Hertz and drove to Hallandale Beach, where he connected up with Kol.
Federal prosecutors claim she sought Sanchez’s support in “locating the missing bundle and the victim’s later murder.”
Throughout the day of the shooting, Kol exchanged a series of Instagram communications with Gonzalez, according to a subpoena, which was penned by Miami- Dade officers. The couple planned how Gonzalez may enter the hotel just before 10 p.m. to arrange their meeting.
” I do n’t want them to see me”, Kol said in one of the messages, as per the warrant. ” Ring the bell”.
Footage sites Gonzalez arriving to the front of the resort at about 10: 30 p. m., according to the warrant. Therefore, Kol entered her car and headed to pick him up. Despite the fact that Gonzalez was seated in the front passenger seats, the driver’s window at the drive-through screen hid him from the hotel staff.
The trio entered the hall through the rear door at about 10: 45 p. m., the permit says. Fifteen minutes later, Kol made a small 30- next visit to Sanchez. By 11:20 p.m., Casas had discovered Sanchez entering the entrance and heading toward place 304.
Soon after, Gonzalez dialed 911 and said “in Aladdin Hotel” and” Yes, serious” when a controller asked if he needed authorities help, according to the warrant. Before shots rang out, the dispatcher overheard a battle, with Gonzalez yelling” No, no, no.”
The next day, a hotel director uncovered Gonzalez’s figure in a pool of blood.
An immediate result?
Gonzalez’s ex-girlfriend claimed that when she was interrogated by police after the murder, she claimed that Gonzalez had posted a picture of a person with the name” Sapir Kol” just five days before he was killed, claiming that if something happens to her, it will be her.
Kol and the Facebook account are said to have been linked by the authorities. The ex-girlfriend revealed to the police that Kol was threatening to kill him when she first visited her immediately after.
During the sensor, Miami- Metropolitan officers received a phone from a Hialeah authorities narcotics detective. According to the subpoena, the DEA had 11 pounds of crystal meth inside a UPS offer two weeks prior to the murder.
According to the warrant, the piece was associated with Gonzalez and was headed for a local home in his Hialeah Gardens community. During a manhunt, police witnessed Gonzalez searching for the item.
Gonzalez explained to the government that he had been approached by an unknown person who informed him that four people were looking for him at a blackjack “because he had a deal for them.”
