
In response to the rising tensions with the government, the criticism in the Punjab council on Saturday vowed to accept Maryam Nawaz as the general secretary and refer to her as “fake Form- 47,” while the speech took action and suspended all opposition leaders.
The conflict between ruling Pakistan Muslim League-N ( PML-N) lawmakers and opposition lawmakers from the PTI ( Sunni Ittehad Council ) increased, according to the Pakistan-based newspaper Dawn, after 11 opposition members were suspended for 15 sessions for “rowdyism” during Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz’s address on Friday.
Malik Ahmad Khan Bhachar’s room in the council was sealed when the government revoked his benefits and privileges.
A large police force and a slave de were stationed outside the Punjab Assembly on Saturday as the session began, with instructions to stop the 11 suspended lawmakers from entering the building. The opposition politicians held their own conference outside the assembly gate in a show of support for the held lawmakers and made statements against Maryam Nawaz and the PML-N leadership.
Ahmad Khan Bhachar said,” The government wants to solitude us through legal tyranny, but we will never accept false Form- 47 CM Maryam Nawaz”, while addressing the paid Members of the Provincial Assembly.
At his discourse, the PTI legislators shouted phrases like “mandate criminals” and accused Maryam Nawaz’s dad and PML- N honcho Nawaz Sharif, of problem.
In contrast, the PTI politicians initiated a luxury movement against Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Ahmad Khan, alleging that he had succumbed to” submitting to CM Maryam’s force” to suspend opposition people. Sheikh Imtiaz, a PTI senator, even went so far as to write a quality requesting change to the Nawaz Sharif Cardiology Hospital.
Mohammad Naeem, a Member of Provincial Assembly, said that the government’s decision to close the criticism party’s room was the first time in Pakistan’s history, according to a report by Dawn.
As the Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Ahmad Khan continued the funds 2024- 25 conversation during the House trials, a group of 10 to 12 criticism members, headed by Rana Aftab, entered the room to take part in the discussions. The Treasury members kindled a response to Aftab’s protest.
Aftab pressed the chair to order the treasury employees involved in the disorderly behavior, asking “whether they too would face suspension.” Subsequently, the opposition members staged a walkout from the House.
Punjab’s Information Minister, Azma Bukhari who led the treasury’s protest against the opposition, declared that opposition members would be denied the right to speak if they interrupted the leader of the House’s speech.
The budget was passed by the House, and the speaker adjourned the proceedings indefinitely.
