‘ The Whip’ to encounter medicine, conspiracy charges in D. C. judge, Feds offer$ 10 million prize for’ Chapitos’ boss
The Mexican Attorney General’s Office handed over to U. S. officials Sergio Miguel Vega Mendoza, alias” The Whip”, to encounter pending substance and crime costs. Late last year, the Mexico City International Airport held the handovers.
Between 2012 to 2015, Vega was” a large- ranking member of a criminal organization in charge of arranging, supervising and transporting large quantities of medications for submission in the United States”, the AG’s Office said in a statement.
Vega, 51, does face expenses in U. S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
The Whip was set to table a Sinaloa-bound aircraft at the Mexico City airport on July 1, according to the AG’s Office. Mexican officials arrested him, according to the AG’s Office.
Mexico referred to Vega as the chief financial officer of Ivan Archivaldo Guzman Salazar, one of Joaquin” El Chapo” Guzman Loera’s brothers, when he was arrested. El Chapo’s children are collectively known at the” Chapitos”, or Little Chapos.
Ivan Archivaldo Guzman Salazar, his sons, and his half-brothers were among the 28 people of the Sinaloa cartel charged with fentanyl smuggling on April 20, 2023, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
The United States government is offering a$ 10 million reward for information leading to Guzman Salazar’s arrest and conviction.
