The Ukrainian government’s security services announced Monday that it had foiled yet another Russian plot to stoke people unrest and then use the resultant upheaval to overthrow the government, highlighting a well-known instrument that Kyiv states has been used in a number of coup attempt in recent years. SBU, a domestic intelligence agency in Ukraine, claimed to have found a “group” of conspirators who were allegedly preparing to seize the parliament building, change the military and civilian command, and create a mob. Four persons have been detained and indicted. Authorities said it was a warning that more than two years after initiating a full-scale conquest of the nation, the Kremlin remained determined to overthrow Prez Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s government by any means, although providing much information on how such an optimistic program may have succeeded.
