A video recorded by a doorbell security camera shows armed robbers disguised as delivery drivers raiding a Colorado family’s home. The armed robbers reportedly stole possessions from the house and assaulted two children and a babysitter.
According to The New York Post, the home invasion occurred in Aurora, Colorado, at roughly 8:45 p.m. on June 12. The video shows one of the three robbery suspects wearing a reflective vest and holding a package while waiting for someone to answer the door.
“They were dressed in construction vests and claimed they were there to drop a package off. The suspects were holding a package and waited for the residents of the home to open the door,” the Aurora Police Department said in a post on X, formerly Twitter. “When they did, the suspects forced their way in and robbed the family.”
According to KDVR, a 6-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl were in the home with a babysitter while the parents were away from home. However, despite being away from home at the time of the robbery, the parents notified 911 of the home invasion after being alerted of the situation.

After the front door started to open, the suspect in the construction vest pushed the door open and shouted something in Spanish to alert two other suspects, who also entered the home, according to The New York Post.
The video shows another suspect who appears to have a gun in his right hand, as well as a third suspect in a black balaclava.

The New York Post reported that the three suspects raided the home for roughly a minute and stole personal items, such as cash and jewelry. Following the raid, the three suspects left the home, entered a car, and raced away from the scene of the crime.
According to The New York Post, the robbery suspects also allegedly pushed both the 6-year-old boy and the caretaker to the floor and inappropriately touched the 14-year-old girl during the home invasion. The outlet noted that the 6-year-old boy was visibly shaken as first responders provided medical care for his injuries. Both the 6-year-old and 14-year-old spent a night in a local hospital after the incident.
Police officials have indicated that the home invasion could have been a targeted attack since the family operates a business out of the Colorado home.
