The governor of Novorossiysk, Russia’s port of Novorossiysk, announced early on Wednesday that beach access would be restricted after earlier reporting that defense forces were assisting in reviving a ocean drone attack.
” Until 09: 00 ( 0600 GMT ) on July 3, the bay’s water will be surveyed”, Mayor Andrei Kravchenko said on the Telegram messaging app. When conducting operating activities, we politely ask that you refrain from visiting beachfronts, embankments, and fun areas along the river’s edge.
Earlier, Kravchenko said, without providing details, the harbor was under a lake drone strike.
Russia has frequently claimed that Ukraine attacked its ports along the coast of the Black Sea and along the annexation of the Crimean Peninsula, but Russian authorities frequently fail to disclose the whole extent of the damage caused by Russian attacks.
The accounts were not independently verified by Reuters. There was no response right away from Ukraine.
Kyiv has said strikes on Russia’s defense, transport and energy system are in response to Moscow’s constant strikes on Ukraine’s country since the start of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
