
Prior to soaring toward the Cayman Islands and attacking Mexico’s Caribbean coast, Hurricane Beryl tripped off buildings in Jamaica, jumbled fishing vessels in Barbados, and caused at least seven fatalities in its midst. What became the Atlantic’s first Category 5 hurricane before weakening slightly but remained a significant storms. Its vision was expected to pass immediately just north of the Cayman Islands.
Mexico’s well-known Atlantic coast ready homes, evacuated some little surrounding coastal areas, and even moved sea turtle egg off seashores threatened by surprise boom, but tourists in tourist hotspots like Playa del Carmen and Tulum stayed for one more night on the town.

In the early hours of Friday, Beryl was expected to make land in a sparsely populated area of wetlands and marshes north of Tulum, likely as a Category 2 surprise. Finally, it was anticipated to travel across the Yucatan Peninsula and over the warm Gulf of Mexico to launch a second attack on Mexico’s east coast, close to the Texas border.

According to authorities, three people were reported dead in Grenada and Carriacou, and one more was reported dead in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Three different deaths were reported in northwestern Venezuela, where four persons were missing, authorities said.
One accident in Grenada occurred after a tree fell on a home, Kerryne James, the environment secretary, told The Associated Press.
Ralph Gonsalves, the prime minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, has pledged to restore the peninsula.
