
According to Tennessee authorities, a man has been charged with sexually assaulting a girl and exposing himself to her inside a collection bath.
Kevin Standberry, 35, was arrested , on attempted rape , and sexual battery expenses in connection with the July 1 event at the Cossitt Library in Memphis, WHBQ reported, citing authorities.
The lady told officials Standberry , followed her into a restroom , and began kissing her and fondling her chest, according to WREG. She was able to flee and move to a different section of the library.
A short time afterwards, the girl said she want up to the bath for her things, WHBQ reported. According to the station, Standberry was still inside and reportedly exposed himself to her.
He’s also accused of , grabbing the woman , and trying to have sex with her, authorities told WMC. She ran from the room after she ran ahead.
According to WHBQ, a security guard detained Standberry and called the police after spotting him leaving the women’s room.
In response to the event, Memphis Public Libraries said it plans” to improve safety at all sites”.
Director Keenon McCloy told WMC in a speech,” We are thankful for the reaction of the security agent who detained the suspect and the Memphis Police Department for their rapid activity.” We are dedicated to providing our clients with a loving and secure environment.
Standberry was jailed on a$ 100, 000 relationship, WREG reported.
