A new poll shows that a majority of Republicans are “extremely happy” to be British, while a majority of Democrats are “extremely happy” to become American.
59 % of Republicans were “extremely happy” to be an American, according to a Gallup poll conducted just before the Fourth of July. On the other hand, only 34 % of Democrats and 36 % of independents aid they were “extremely proud” to identify as Americans.
About two-thirds of Americans still claim to be at least really pleased, according to a press release that came with the media poll. This is close to the lowest level on record. ” Republicans ‘ national pride, though near its lowest level, remains substantial compared with Democrats ‘ and independents’, although all gathering teams are significantly less happy than they were 20 years ago”.
According to The Daily Wire, Republicans and Democrats have fewer words to say about their country’s confidence over the past five years. Republicans are less proud of being Americans, from 76 % to 59 %, while Democrats are more proud of being Americans, both at the end of the former president’s presidency and throughout President Joe Biden’s first term in office.

While the study found that the percentage of people who are “extremely pleased” to be an American is “near the lowest point on record”, 67 % of the survey respondents said they were “extremely happy” or “very happy” to become American. The survey also found that 18 % of U. S. adults were “moderately proud” to be American, 10 % were “only a little” proud, and 5 % were” not at all” proud.
The Gallup poll’s results, according to The Daily Wire, indicate a significant change in attitudes toward patriotism over the past 20 years. In 2004, 82 % of Republicans, 60 % of Democrats, and 65 % of independents indicated they were “extremely proud” to be American.
” Americans ‘ national pride was highest after the 9/11 terrorist attacks in 2001, when patriotism surged in the U. S.”, Gallup stated. Extreme pride has been reversing its trend since 2015
