After Hurricane Beryl swept across the Houston and East Texas area on Monday, approximately 2.3 million individuals are still without electricity. At least eight people have even lost their lives in the United States as a result of the wind.

Energy crews have been diligently restoring strength to about 2.7 million people who lost strength as a result of Hurricane Beryl, according to Fox Weather. But, the PowerOutage. According to the US site, nearly 2.3 million Texas people were still without electricity as of Tuesday night.

CenterPoint updated Texas people on the state’s progress with its power restoration program on Monday, saying that” CenterPoint then anticipates having 1 million effected clients restored by the end of the day, on Wednesday, July 10.”

According to Fox Weather, Texas ‘ power restoration businesses are complicated because of the large amounts of debris left over from the hurricane and the persistent weather conditions that threaten the safety of electric crew.

According to Fox Weather, Hurricane Beryl hit the city of Matagorda as a Category 1 hurricane earlier Monday morning, resulting in wind winds of over 90 miles, a 3-6 base storm surge, and heavy rainfall across the area. The outlet reported that the wind even resulted in numerous storms spawning in Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana.

Eight people were killed by Hurricane Beryl in the United States, according to Fox Weather, which brings the total number of fatalities caused by the wind to at least 19 as it moved from the Windward Islands to the United States.

Seven of the eight Americans who were killed were found in the Houston area. Three people died in a blaze that authorities believe was caused by lightning, three others drowned, and one more person died in a fall that was caused by falling plants.

A woman was killed when a branch fell onto her home in Benton, Louisiana, according to the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook post.
