The broker, Jorge Maldonado, was a officer based out of Eagle Pass in south-central Texas. Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX ), whose district includes Eagle Pass, also confirmed that Maldonado had passed away on Wednesday night.
The government has yet to officially disclose the cause of the death, but it is believed to have been the outcome of a heat-related wellness affair, not an assault while on duty, according to two officials who were unauthorised to speak with the internet.
