    Sonia Sotomayor’s security shoots alleged carjacker near her DC home

    According to sources, an on-duty U.S. captain shot the alleged suspect after an attempted carjacking outside the house of Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, according to sources.

    The incident occurred earlier Friday on the 2100 wall of 11th Street in Washington, D. C., when 18-year-old Kentrell Flowers reportedly pointed a firearm at two commanders in an obvious burglary attempt, TMZ reported.

    Around 1:15 a.m., a metallic van approached two marshals who were parked in an unknown government vehicle.

    Flowers then proceeded to leave the bus, walked up to the side entrance, and aimed a weapon through the window. One of the commanders responded by firing four shots, hitting Plants in the mouth, according to legal papers.

    Another captain supposedly intervened from a different vehicle and administered Flowers first aid. He reportedly suffered minor injuries before being taken to a nearby hospital, where he eventually was detained.

    The Metropolitan Police Department’s domestic affairs system is investigating the killing. After the event, according to a.40 ability Smith &amp, Wesson was discovered in Flowers ‘ pocket, according to a federal issue.

    He now faces charges in federal court, including attempted burglary and harassing, resisting, or impeding sure soldiers using a dangerous tool.

    At the time of the event, it’s unclear whether Sotomayor was at home.

    Carjackings in Washington, D. C. have apparently been an increasing problem in the previous year. &nbsp, Texas Congressman Henry Cuellar was carjacked at gunpoint&nbsp, in October, near his house in the Navy Yard of D. C.
