NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley , urged President Joe Biden Thursday to “pass the light” and cut out of the 2024 presidential contest. In response to concerns about the government’s mental health, the famous sports legend joins a growing number of Democratic leaders and celebs who have publicly pressured Johnson to support a candidate for president.
Barkley and Biden spoke about the recent situation with Biden and the Democratic Party during a Thursday looks on CNBC. ” I really feel sadness”, Barkley said while speaking at the American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
” You got the greatest country in the world – and I have nothing but admiration and respect for , President Biden,  , but it’s time for him to pass the torch to a younger creation”, Barkley added. ” He’s been a great person, he’s been a great man – this ai n’t something I’m saying now, I’ve said it like a year ago. It’s time for him to complete the torch”.
Barkley argued that it was “time to pass the torch” even though Biden was “one of the greatest folks” he had had the honor of knowing throughout his entire career.

The NBA legend stated that he “would not” vote for Trump despite calling for Biden to withdraw from the 2024 presidential contest.
” Talk, President Trump – I did not vote for someone who had that mentality”, Barkley said.
Barkley also expressed his dissatisfaction with sports clubs that refuse to travel to the White House when a member of a political group they oppose is in business, and he also urged Americans to honor those who serve as president of the United States.
” You know, I get mad at these sports teams – some of these bozos wo n’t visit the White House because it’s a Democrat or Republican in there”, Barkley stated. ” That is ridiculous. It’s the president of the United States. We should always love that business, no matter who’s in there” . ,
