Today’s improper immigration situation is much worse than it was in 1996. Will Republicans ‘ dissatisfaction with illegal immigration result in a positive election effect?
Republicans won two Senate seats in 1996 while losing one House seats. Bill Clinton, a favorite former president, was able to blunt Democratic communication on immigration. Democrats lack that pleasure in 2024. Plus, the number of laborers entering the country is staggering.
In a Focus phone, Joe Biden claimed he was working hard to legalize more laborers.
According to a partial text of the phone obtained by NOTUS, Correa told Biden that Latino voters needed to hear from him and that” there is a road in my next management for all of you that have been here for generations, that have followed the legislation, that have paid taxes, and that have been part of the American dream.”
Biden responded by saying that he was completely in agreement with you that” no joke” was being made with every syllable you just said.
” I’m being deadly earnest”, Biden said, according to the text.
According to Gallup, Americans favor a number of laws that would restrict illegal immigration and a few that do allow illegals to be under certain conditions.
