Liberals are becoming more and more vocal about urging Joe Biden to withdraw from the race for president. Democratic electors are feeling exceedingly sad, and donors are withholding millions of dollars in donations. Only a small number of elected Democrats are asking Biden to step down or have expressed concerns for him, but many more have n’t yet made public. Their concerns now extend to the possible defeat of Biden, as well as the possibility that Donald Trump may win the election in November and win the House and Senate majority votes.

Some “possess concern that Biden could drag down the rest of the ticket so severely that they ca n’t win back the House” and that Trump and Hill Republicans could receive big enough majority in both chambers to fulfill their major party objectives,” according to Politico.  ,
” They are nervous about the upcoming election”, Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo. ) told Politico. ” If anyone tells you they’re not, they’re lying”.
The difficulty for vulnerable Democrats, of course, is that they are worried about citizens tying them to Biden, which makes it harder for them to get reelected. The report notes that Democrats ‘ efforts to veto more regional power may be undermined as well because Biden’s problems could undermine their efforts to retake control of swing states like Arizona and Pennsylvania and hold onto Michigan and Minnesota.
More than two hundred politicians, Hill employees, state authorities and Democratic workers were interviewed for this article. The majority of them were given the right to remain anonymous or were not permitted to speak in public.
Democrats who fear Biden ca n’t win make up the majority of the party inside the Capitol, and a growing number are willing to admit it publicly.
” It’s over”, one secretary to a battle Democrat said of the battle to flip the House. ” It does n’t matter if they’re outperforming him by 35 f***ing points. The math does n’t work”.
Democrats are becoming increasingly concerned that the political landscape has changed significantly in the last week, especially in the House. With his notice to congressional Democrats on Monday, Biden managed to acclimatize his critics, but older Democrats then think a push to replace him is unavoidable, even after his “big boy” press conference following the NATO summit on Friday.

Although House leadership has n’t explicitly requested that Biden withdraw, former Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries have not opposed the move. Pelosi has personally suggested that she wants Biden to step down, according to reports, and Democrats are informed that prolonging the political crisis is so damaging that Jeffries is advising politicians to speak out now, which is likely to expedite the transition.
Party insiders have a common belief that Biden will hurt Democrats ‘ chances of capturing control of the House.
” I do n’t think there’s any coming back from the debate”, a Democratic consultant working on multiple House races told Politico. ” There’s nothing that can be done to fix that”.
However, this becomes incredibly intriguing: it appears that Democrats have accepted that they will lose to the Republicans and are only hoping to maintain control of Congress.
” If Biden remains the nomination and shows genuine weakness, can you have this huge broken solution”? one tactician said. ” It’s not the recent polling data]that’s the problem], it’s projecting out”.
Some Democrats are today making clear statements that they think Trump will win in order to establish their status as a threat to his authority. Among them are Reps. Jared Golden (D-Maine ) and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-Wash. ), who hold districts that Trump won in 2020.
Party officials have begun to seriously consider a wider shift in this message in order to address voters ‘ concerns about a Trump victory.
” There’s going to be a great pivot to ‘ we need to get a search on Trump,'” a planner said.

If the information House Democrats are putting out is that they are acting as a search on Trump, they have failed to win the November election.
