Michigan is a must-win condition for Joe Biden. He must get all of the battleground state in the Great Lakes to win the presidency, according to the elections and the numbers. Since Biden just won the state by three factors in 2020, Donald Trump is currently in the lead in the state’s surveys, and he must use that as a springboard to advance.

On Friday, Biden went to Detroit for a march. While reports say that those in attendance greeted him enthusiastically, it was who did n’t show up that was the most telling. Important Democrats in the state reportedly bailed on speaking with him, according to the Associated Press.
Important Democratic leaders in the position were somewhat absent on Friday at a crucial moment when Biden needs to strengthen support.
Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, who is co-chair of Biden’s plan, was out of the condition. Sens. Gary Peters and Debbie Stabenow, and Rep. Elissa Slotkin, who is vying for Michigan’s opened Senate seats, were also not there. United Auto Workers President Shawn Fain, whom Biden actively courted during next week’s cuts, was traveling for a meeting.
Rep. Hillary Scholten, who is seeking election in a battle neighborhood in northern Michigan, is among the politicians who’ve called on Biden to move away.
One of the more well-known Democratic leaders who appeared with Biden on Friday, Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, declined to say whether she thought Biden should still be the group’s presidential candidate.  ,
She said,” I’m really trying to make sure people are aware of the issues that are affecting them this year and how to cast their ballots.”
No all Democrats in Michigan feared sharing the stage with him.

Michigan Rep. Debbie Dingell, Rep. Haley Stevens, Rep. Shri Thanedar and AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler accompanied Biden on Air Force One from Washington to Detroit, in Biden’s fifth trip to the position this time. Even attending was Academy Award-winning artist Octavia Spencer. Additionally, more than a hundred state lawmakers from the Detroit region signed a joint letter on Thursday to “exprim our unwavering help” for Biden.
Imagine that the sitting president of the United States is visiting a crucial, decisive battleground state, where important Democrats and allies, including the governor, wo n’t attack you.
To claim that’s degrading is an understatement. If Biden leaves, one of the Democrats who could replace him may be Whitmer. Even though she has thrown cool water on this notion, this was the moment if there was ever a chance for her to show that she was ready to support Biden.
” Appearance, we all have scheduling issues occasionally”, remarked poll Nate Silver in a blog on X.” ‘ Netflix-and-chill ‘ night, having to look at new carpeting examples, miniature golf outings, etc. It’s certainly as though this is the president of the United States or something.
This is n’t the first time Democrats have kept a distance from Biden, according to NBC News ‘ Julie Tsirkin.
At least three Senate Democrats in the cycle are not going to join President Biden’s campaign team for a meeting: @SenatorTester “scheduling conflict,” @SenSherrodBrown” no interested in campaign meetings,” @timkaine “previously scheduled commitment.”

The Associated Press did everything it could to make the march sound like a victory by highlighting the support for Biden among the spectators despite the absence of essential Liberals. But,  , one thing they did not record on was how his head malfunctioned at the start of his conversation.
Biden’s mind was fully malfunctioning about 30 minute into his Michigan event. twitter.com/UEeQXQBD4D— RNC Research ( @RNCResearch ) July 12, 2024
I believe it is safe to say that more resilient Democrats will likely experience scheduling issues that prevent them from appearing with Biden when he comes to town.
