In a film released on Saturday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov claimed that Western countries would be putting themselves in danger if they agreed to deploy long-range US weapons.
Russian state TV’s Pavel Zarubin posed the question,” We have enough ability to deter these missiles,” Peskov replied,” We have enough possible.” But the capitals of these ( European ) states are potential victims”.
Peskov noted that Soviet missiles targeted Europe throughout the Cold War, making the country’s nations the primary victims of any possible issue.
He said:” Europe is now coming apart at the joints. Not in the best way for Europe right now. Thus, in one way or another, history will repeat itself”.
