Thomas Matthew Crooks, a 20-year-old gentleman from Pennsylvania, has been identified as the suspected gunman who attempted to assassinate former US president Donald Trump during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, over the weekend.
On Sunday, Secret Service guns shot Crooks after he fired several shots at the rally from a local top.
Former peers of Crooks described him as a “quiet” and” morally reserved” student who generally seemed “lonely”, as per a review in ABC News.
There were no reports of him discussing politics or Trump, despite the fact that a classmate of the shooter described him as” socially reserved” and someone who “did n’t have a lot of friends.”
According to the ABC News record, he was being bullied for his look and clothing options, including wearing looking clothes.
Researchers found a” suspicious system” in Crooks ‘ car, which is being analyzed by weapon technicians. The weapon used in the shooting was an AR-style semiautomatic weapons, purchased officially, perhaps by Crooks ‘ papa.
There are no signs of mental health issues or military ties, according to Kevin Rojek, unique broker in charge of the FBI’s Pittsburgh field office. The event is being looked into as a possible domestic terrorist attack and as an assassination attempt.
The FBI has not identified any particular philosophy linked to the gunman, and authorities believe he was acting alone. While Crooks was a documented Republican, he had formerly donated to a Democratic-aligned liberal political action committee.
