NEAR DELHI: Two Delta Airlines flight staff from Atlanta were caught wearing Israeli flag pins. The July 10 social media post on X, which described the Arab wires as” Hamas medals,” sparked anger. After that, the carriers made it illegal for its employees to wear bolts that matched those from other nations or nations. The concept may get influence Monday.
In a speech, Delta Airlines stated that” We are proud of our various foundation of employees and customers and the bedrock of our company, which is connected the world and provides a superior practice,” and that” We are taking this step to help maintain a safe, comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for all.”
Both of the attendants who were pictured wearing the pins adhered to Delta’s past policy, which gave employees more room for choice when choosing uniform accessories.
One of Delta’s people escalated the situation by posting a response on X claiming the servants wearing the Arab bolts were breaking business regulations and sympathising with people who might be “terrified” by it before Delta announced its new plan. The Council on American-Islamic Relations, the American Muslim freedom organization CAIR, and the article have since been deleted, but it was still visible in a picture shared by them.
Delta posted an apology in a blog, stating that the person who wrote the response had been fired from handling its social media connections.
” What happened with Delta is just the latest example of anti-Palestinian racism”, Edward Ahmed Mitchell, the federal deputy executive director of CAIR, told The Washington Post. He said the party welcomed Delta’s explanation. ” And my desire is that this event will start moving the needle in a different way quietly, gradually.”
