Reid Hoffman, chairman of Linked In, reportedly said he wished he’d made Former President Donald Trump an “actual hero” just days before an attempted execution of Trump.
Hoffman made the remark to his former student Peter Thiel when the , two late attended a seminar in Idaho,  , according , to Puck News.  ,
Thiel, a billionaire tech investment, thanked Hoffman for funding one of the numerous complaints against Trump, claiming that it made the former president a saint and increased his chances of winning in November.  ,
Hoffman , reportedly responded,” Yeah, I wish I had made him an , actual , martyr” . ,
Just weeks after that trade, Trump was shot during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. One person died and the former senator was struck in the correct ear. Other people were hurt in the audience, and one man was killed.
After the event, Hoffman , took to X, previously Twitter, to support his remarks.  ,
” It is awful that anyone has tried to assassinate President Trump”, Hoffman , wrote. ” Everyone, on all sides of this election, should condemn political violence loudly and publicly” . ,
The article, however, went on to examine the political violence committed against the previous leader to Jan. 6.
” Instead of calling the January 6th subversives’ soldiers ‘ whom he]Trump ] intends to forgive and even get into state, he should speak out against social murder”, Hoffman said.  ,
In the same article, Hoffman clarified his assertion that he hoped Trump would “martinize himself” rather than “die.”  ,
” Of course I meant nothing about any sort of physical harm or murder, which I absolutely deplore”, Hoffman said. I meant and mean accountability to the rule of law, such as the$ 84 million judgment for defamation and lies about his sexual assault and a unanimous guilty verdict by 12 jurors on 34 works.
Progressives have spent years putting together an “assassination prep” battle against Trump.
” Your very attempt to ‘ both sides ‘ it reveals your insincerity” , , said Megyn Kelly in a post on X. When you said it, I had several resources in the room, and everyone in the room assumed that you wanted Trump useless. You’re not misleading people”.
Hoffman is also , investing millions , into a petition to silence election monitoring, and Dmitri Mehlhorn, an assistant to the businessman, reportedly , emailed writers suggesting that the intended execution may have been staged.
According to Semafor, the “possibility” is that this” shooting” was promoted and possibly staged so Trump could get the photos and profit from the backlash, which feels brutal, mysterious, and absurd in America, but is quite popular worldwide.
In a recent private conference call, Mehlhorn claimed that” Reid and I]Mehlhorn ] have invested nine figures of our own money to stop Trump from winning the presidency,” according to Semafor.
