Pete Ordane, a 34-year-old gentleman from New York City, was swept away by powerful tides while swimming in the ocean, which was a heartbreaking experience. He traveled roughly 5 km from Breezy Point, Queens, to the coast of New Jersey, where the strong tide took him.
Ordane struggled to stay afloat in the open water for several days, according to a statement from NYP.
Fortunately, his situation was noticed by a professional man and his brother, who spotted him around 9 am on Monday, around 2 miles off the coast of Sandy Hook, New Jersey, according to the Middletown town police department.
Ordane was transported to the Monmouth Cove Marina in Port Monmouth, New Jersey after being brought aboard the fish vehicle.
Despite the gruelling expertise, he was found to be in” great state” and declined additional medical care. Before he arranged for his own vehicles from the place, the man and his brother, who wished to remain anonymous, provided Ordane with clean clothes and food.
The Middletown town authorities praised the quick-thinking steps of the man and his brother, saying that they had “undoubtedly” saved Ordane’s career. This amazing rescue comes just two days after a tragic event in which two teenage girls went missing off Coney Island in Brooklyn.
