We all remember seeing variety in our cultural studies ebooks back in the sixth grade as smiling children who were thoroughly chosen to represent a hodgepodge of races and ethnicities and who were content to play together without a care in the world. A recent event in Queens, N. Y., but, shows how our tireless commitment to diversity actually works in practice.

According to a report from The New York Post on Saturday, a NYC car driver was charged with allegedly beheading a statue of a fresh Jesus outside a Queens Catholic church. The egotist who did the deed was one Jamshaid Choudhry, who lives in Hollis, Queens. In central and southern Asia, Muslims frequently refer to themselves as” Jamshaid.” For reportedly decapitating the memorial outside the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in New Pastures on June 30th, Chadhry was detained Thursday nights and charged with criminal mischief as a hate crime and other related crimes.

Now, why would anyone want to behead a statue in a way that is so ridiculous? The perpetrator might have hated the man depicted, which is probably true in this instance, but that is the most visible response. Jesus is a prophet, according to the Qur’an, but that does not refute the fundamental idea of the Christian idea that He is a person. In fact, it states that those who believe such a thing are n’t believers at all:” They indeed have disbelieved who say, Indeed, Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary” ( 5: 17 ).  ,
Even the Qur’an claims that Allah asked Jesus if he had asked his supporters to adoration him as God, and that Jesus denies doing so. The paragraph contains a misinterpretation of the Christian doctrine of the Trinity as consisting of Allah, Jesus, and Mary, but its neglect of Christ’s god is undeniable:” And when Allah said, O Jesus, brother of Mary, did you say to civilization, Take me and my family as two angels besides Allah? He said, Get glorified. I had little right to say what I had to no. If I said it, therefore you know it. You are aware of what I have in mind, but I am no. Indeed, you, only you, are the knower of hidden things” ( 5: 116 ).

According to the Qur’an, those who claim that Jesus is the Son of God are subject to the plague of Allah:” And the Jews say Ezra is the son of Allah, and the Christians say The Messiah is the brother of Allah. That is what they are saying loudly. They imitate the assertions of those who previously dissented. Perhaps Allah plague them. How perverse they are” ( 9: 30 ).
The Jews claimed to have crucified Christ, but the Islamic holy book also denies this, saying that” they did not kill him nor crucify him, but it seemed to them” ( 4: 157 ).  ,
And thus Jamshaid Choudhry’s personal religious history informed him that the statue of Jesus outside Holy Family Roman Catholic Church was an aberration in many ways when he saw it. It was, of course, craft representing the human kind, which Islam forbids. It was a description of a prophet of Allah, which some Muslims find particularly unpleasant as a source of worship. And it depicted a young gentleman, bringing down his scourge in the eyes of the Christian faith in the manifestation of God in Christ, which, from the Islamic view, is an affront to Allah.
And thus Choudhry appears to have worked hard to correct these errors. The Post notes that” the distorted, caught-on-camera anger began lightly”. Choudhry “pulled up to the front of the temple around 5: 30 a. m. and quietly crossed the street, before removing a foot and charging toward bright stone statues of Mary, Joseph, and Jesus, according to police and images released by the Diocese of Brooklyn”. According to what caught-on-camera film shows, he” swatted the eyes of Mary and Joseph with his foot, then turned his attention to Jesus and hacked it at its head until it went spinning to the earth.”

After completing what he had promised, Choudhry “is then seen quietly leaving with his foot nevertheless in hand.” So he had the great confidence of a man who knew he was doing the right point both before and after beheading the monument, which suggests that he had both.
Melinda Katz, the district attorney for Queens, said in the normal way,” We will not tolerate unprovoked attacks, particularly those motivated by hate.” Queens represents a pillar of diversity and inclusion, where freedom of expression and church are cherished as basic pillars of our democracy.
Terrific, but one thing is certain: neither Katz nor anyone else involved in this case will also attempt to suggest that Choudhry’s religious beliefs may have been a factor in his behavior. To suggest such a thing may be” Islamophobic”. Therefore, nothing will be done to address the root cause of this behaviour. That implies that it will occur afterwards.
