At the Republican National Convention on Tuesday night, two of my favorite nominees for the 2024 nomination spoke back-to-back in favor of the former ( and future ) president. Nikki Haley, former governor of South Carolina and UN adviser, first addressed the issue of combining Republicans behind Trump despite their differences.

Haley was a hard act to pursue, but Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla. ) rose to the occasion. He launched a ferocious talk that did n’t give the Biden administration or the left in general by starting with “let’s take Joe Biden up to his room, and this give Donald Trump back to the White House.”
DeSantis delivered witticisms that received clapping:
