President Donald Trump selected Republican Ohio Sen. J. D. Vance to be his vice presidential candidate, announcing his decision on the first day of the Republican National Committee’s ( RNC ) convention.
Trump ended the debate and excitement about who his potential running mate for the 2024 presidential election would be a day before his official group election. Just a few weeks after the former senator survived an assassination attempt, Vice will then join him on the campaign trail.
” Senator J. D. Vance of the Great State of Ohio is the best suited person to take the place of Vice President of the United States,” Trump said on Truth Social.” After long consideration and thought, and considering the enormous abilities of many others, I have decided that the best suited man is the man… “J. D. honestly served our State in the Marine Corps, graduated from Ohio State University in two decades, Summa Cum Laude, and is a Yale Law School Graduate, where he was Editor of The Yale Law Journal, and President of the Yale Law Veterans Association. J. D.’s book”, Hillbilly Elegy, “became a Major Best Seller and Movie, as it championed the talented men and women of our Country. J. D. has had a really successful business career in Technology and Finance, and then, during the Campaign, will be highly focused on the persons he fought so beautifully for, the American Workers and Farmers in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Minnesota, and far beyond …”.
In 2016, Vance called himself a “never-Trump man” and labeled the potential government’s policies “absurd”. But, by 2020, Vance’s perspective of Trump turned round, and he endorsed the Republican nominee for president.
Four weeks until the poll, President Trump is trailing his rival in polls both regionally and across key swing state. On June 27, Biden and Trump met for the first time in this election cycle for a discussion. Democrats began calling for the president to withdraw from the race after Biden stumbled through his comments, which appeared to be confused and lost.
