At least nine people were killed, including three adversaries, in an attack at a Shi’ite Muslim dome in Oman on Monday, according to the Islamic State, which claimed responsibility. This is a surprisingly uncommon security violation in the oil-producing Gulf state, which raises the possibility that the party is trying to establish itself.
An American national was killed and another injured in a firing at a mosque in Muscat on Monday, according to the Indian ambassador. The eponymous act of gun violence in Oman’s money took place during a Shia gathering and left nine people dead.
According to the statement from the group, three murder attackers from the Islamic State attacked a group of Shi’ite Muslims while they were performing their annual rites at a church in the Wadi al-Kabir region in Oman’s funds. Till the dawn, Islamic State fighters reportedly exchanged gunfire with Yemeni security forces and fired on Shi’ite worshipers.
” Three suicide attackers from the Islamic State attacked last night a gathering of Shi’ite ( Muslims ) while they were practicing their annual rituals at a temple in the Wadi al-Kabir district in the ( Omani ) capital”, the group’s statement read, citing three security sources.
Later on Tuesday, the organization added a video of the harm to its Telegram page. According to the same speech, the strike left more than 30 Shi’ite Muslims and five Omani causes, including a police officer, either killed or wounded.
