At a Saturday rally in Pennsylvania, three law enforcement officers were stationed inside the building where a gunman killed past president Donald Trump.
Two weeks after the failed assassination attempt, BeaverCountian.com reported that an agent confirmed” there were three counter-snipers” stationed underneath the same roof where the perpetrator blew off part of President Trump’s correct ear. Prior to the gunman fatally shooting a rallygoer and injuring three others, including the Republican presidential candidate, officers made a notification to the” control center” about the danger.
Before previous president Donald Trump was shot on Saturday, a Beaver County police official warned a control center about seeing a guy with a prism, the website reported. The agent also informed the gentleman that he had warned him that he was attempting to scout out the roof of the building while serving as a counter-sniper, and that the man had returned with a backpack before climbing the building in the end.
Law enforcement, according to CBS, also captured a photo of him before the gunshots.
” Contrary to studies in national media outlets, officials say the building just outside the safety perimeter established by Secret Service was in reality occupied by legislation police”, added BeaverCountian.com.
On X, Federalist CEO Sean Davis summed up the situation by saying,” Who gave the order to do nothing until after the assassin shot Trump, killed an innocent person on that level, and fired round after round after large?”
The safety issues go deeper, though. The Secret Service was informed of the particular risk the tower “days” before the Pennsylvania protest, according to NBC News. But the tower was n’t included in the standard safety boundary.
” But no officials were posted on the tower where the would-be murderer was staying outside the show’s security boundary, which is only 148 yards from the stage– within the selection of a semiautomatic weapons like the one the shooter was carrying,” according to NBC.
Apparently, local authorities resources were tasked with securing the Secret Service boundary. Susan Crabtree of RealClearPolitics posted on X:
According to what I understand, the soldiers inside the building were local law enforcement, which begs the question of why this tower was manning a building that was not within the Secret Service’s authorized perimeter. According to my sources in the Secret Service, the organization relied too heavily on local law enforcement and even “temps,” no ordinary agents or officers assigned to Trump’s details because the standard detail was overworked. According to what I’ve heard, Trump did n’t even get to choose which agents to use. One of the few ( if not the ONLY ) regular members of Trump’s permanent detail was Special Agent in Charge Curran.
While Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle said the former president’s team had not requested extra security, a source , told , The Federalist that Trump’s security detail had requested more protection and resources, but the Biden administration’s Department of Homeland Security denied it.  ,
Cheatle said Tuesday, however, that she would not step down.
The Secret Service’s most recent error immediately led to one of the worst agency scandals in history, with the former and potential next president appearing to be live execution range. A split-second tilt of Trump’s head saved the former president’s life, with the bullet grazing his ear instead of going through his brain. The ex-commander-in-chief met the near-death experience with a defiant fist bump and a call to “fight”. The saga was covered in a brief documentary video by The Wall Street Journal here.
Hours after presiding over Ohio’s Sen. J. D. Vance for the vice presidential nomination, Trump made his first public appearance since the shooting at the Republican National Convention ( RNC). The former president entered the Milwaukee convention center to patriotic music with a bandaged right ear.
Chants broke out of” Fight! Fight! Fight”! after Trump exited the song” God Bless the USA.”
