According to Thailand’s Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin, six international citizens were discovered dead in a posh hotel space in the heart of Bangkok. The Grand Hyatt Erawan hotel’s premium Pathum Wan city resort was the site of the incident. Because there were no indications of a challenge or theft, authorities believe the victims had been poisoned.
” There were no evidence of a struggle”, Srettha told a press conference. ” We need to do an examination to see if they had ingested anything”, he added
The primary minister confirmed that all six dying were Asian, with two of them holding two US citizenship. The bodies were discovered by cleaning staff who had walked into the second floor to do the cleanup around 4:30 p.m. When the terrible discovery was made, the personnel quickly reported the case.
Soon after Srettha arrived on the scene, she mentioned the possibility of a sixth Taiwanese people being involved in the incident.
Thiti Sangsawang, the captain of Bangkok’s municipal authorities commission, said that the visitors had failed to check out of the resort that evening. No real pain associated with an altercation or assault was found during an initial research. The results did, however, indicate that the group of six people had consumed a poisonous material.
Thiti said,” What we can now prove is that they are not dying from suicide but from the shooting of others,” while the police are now looking into the causes of the incident.
A police commander before in an unidentified voice earlier denied first reports of a firing and claimed that the investigation is now focused on a “link with a harmful substance.”
Some of the immigrants appeared to be visiting the country for the first time, while some appeared to be returning travelers. According to their speech, the police are also looking into the death’s circumstances.
