    Gas prices: More relief at the pumps as prices drop again

    Oil prices dropped again on Wednesday, bringing on a second straight weekday of relief at the pump.

    The average rate for a gallon of regular gasoline is$ 3.512 on Wednesday, according to AAA. That is a slight decrease from the price of a gallon of regular gas on Tuesday, which was$ 3. 515 per gallon, and it is less expensive than it was a week ago, when the average cost was$ 3. 538 per gallon. Pricing are, however, higher than a fortnight ago, when regular gasoline was$ 3.447 per gallon.

    On Wednesday, Mississippi had the lowest cost per gallon for regular oil, at$ 2.999. The average cost for a gallon of regular gasoline is under$ 3 for the first time in a year. California had the country’s most expensive oil at$ 4.735. This was a slight decrease from Tuesday’s value of$ 4.746.

    Here are the fuel costs for a quart of regular-grade oil in and around Washington, D. C.

    Washington, D. C.

    On Wednesday, the average price for a gallon of regular gas in Washington, D. C. was $3.706. That is a slight increase from the day before in the nation’s capital when gas was $3.705. A week ago, regular gas was also $3.712 per gallon. A month ago, it cost people in the district $3.661 per gallon.

    Virginia

    On Wednesday, the average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in Virginia is$ 3.454. This decreased from Tuesday’s average price of$ 3.462 per gallon. Costs are less expensive today than a week ago, when regular-grade oil was$ 3.467 per quart. A month ago in Virginia, it was$ 3.358. Last month, a gallon of regular gasoline was$ 3.413.

    Delaware

    On Wednesday, Delaware’s average price for a gallon of regular gas was$ 3.485, a slight decrease from the$ 3.493 price of Tuesday. A week ago, the price for ordinary oil was$ 3.514 per gallon. People in the First State were paying$ 3.538 for a gallon of regular gasoline a fortnight ago.

    Maryland

    On Wednesday, the average cost for a gallon of regular gasoline in Maryland was$ 3.555. It is a lower from Tuesday’s value of$ 3.561. A week ago, the price for regular oil was$ 3.618 per quart. A fortnight ago, people in Maryland paid$ 3.607 for a gallon of regular gas. A gallon of regular gasoline costs Marylanders$ 3.524, but prices are higher than they did this time.
