Much before Usha Chilukuri Vance, woman of Ohio Senator and Republican vice-presidential candidate JD Vance, rose to prominence, her 96-year-old great uncle, Chilukuri Santhamma, had become a household name in Andhra Pradesh. Santhamma continues to train science at a private school in Vizianagaram despite her advanced years.
She is a billionaire who donated her home in Visakhapatnam to Vivekanand Medical Trust in order to operate a center, which will soon be converted into a doctor.
Santhamma informed her that GOP political member Trump had chosen Usha’s father as his running mate and that she was happy for her daughter. ” Usha is the daughter of Rama Sastry, my husband Subramanya Sastry’s eldest brother. I’m pleased that she has inherited the sharp intellect and acumen that characterize our home. Both my husband and his elder brother ( Usha’s grandfather ) served as university professors.
