According to these reporters, who provided information about Secret Service safety briefings before the march, both the FBI and the company knew that federal officials had limited resources to cover the Butler, Pennsylvania event because personnel was understaffed.
In a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray, Jordan wrote,” The information provided to this Council raises serious questions about the precision of the safety planning by local, state, and federal law enforcement authorities in support of President Trump’s plan rally.” ” Law police overlooked a number of risks prior to and during the celebration in Butler, Pennsylvania, allowing an assassin to take a President, death an visitor, and critically wound two people”.
The USSS conducted two meetings with the American Pennsylvania FusionCenter ( WPFC) and other participants to explain the future, related visits by PresidentTrump and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, according to reporters who have made that disclosure to the Committee. During those briefings, FBI personnel were present at those briefings, according to the USSS Special Agent in Charge Tim Burke, who reportedly told law enforcement partners that the USSS had limited resources that week because the agency was covering the North Atlantic Treaty Organization ( NATO ) summit in Washington, D.C. The FBI is one of the many organizations represented in the WPFC, but the Committee is aware that it is also the country’s top analytical arm and a vital resource of information on possible special events risks in its area of responsibility.

The Committee looks for extensive information about various elements of the attempted assassination. They want to know the number of FBI officers involved in the investigation, the cooperation between the FBI, USSS, and WPFC, and the amount of building safety at the celebration. Particular questions include whether the native commander who encountered the sniper was interviewed or why security had left the roof of the AGR International building unsecured.  ,
The Committee also wants details on the FBI’s review of the gunman’s online activity, the scope of the investigation, and the impact of resource constraints according to different events. Additionally, it is interested in how law enforcement communicated with one another and the steps the USSS took to protect President Trump when it identified a threat.
