An anti-terrorism briefing held earlier this month by the U.S. Army at Fort Liberty, formerly Fort Bragg, labeled multiple pro-life organizations as “terrorist organizations.”

Watchdog journalist Sam Shoemate shared a picture of a slideshow used during the training to label pro-life groups as terrorist groups. Shoemate wrote, “An anti-terrorism brief was held on Fort Liberty (Bragg) today where they listed several Pro-Life organizations as ‘terrorist organizations.’ The slide you see here followed right after a slide about ISIS, a terror group in the Middle East.”

In the picture, both the National Right to Life and Operation Rescue pro-life groups were labeled as terror organizations. The slide also included a picture of a license plate with the designation “IM4IT,” which Shoemate said is displayed by many pro-life supporters across the country and “implies normal citizens are terrorists if they display this plate.”

“The slide goes on to mention activities which these organizations participate in which include being Pro-Life, opposing Row v Wade, demonstrating and protesting (a 1st Amendment protected right), ‘Truth Displays,’ and picketing,” the watchdog journalist added. “They also falsely attribute the bombing of abortion clinics to National Right to Life.”

Shoemate warned that the Department of Defense was “insanely out of control” and that U.S. military members were being “indoctrinated to view Pro-Life groups as the enemy.”

Following the presentation at Fort Liberty, National Right to Life President Carol Tobias described the anti-terrorism briefing as “deeply offensive to pro-life Americans” and slammed President Joe Biden’s administration for promoting “outright lies.”

Tobias stated, “One must wonder how a license plate that raises funds for pregnancy resource centers could be construed as a symbol of terrorism.”

“Only under the Biden Administration can peaceful law-abiding citizens and their peaceful activities be considered “terrorism’” Tobias added. “The Biden Administration promotes the deaths of preborn babies and advocates for unlimited abortion, but peaceful pro-life Americans are labeled ‘terrorists.’”

Following the controversial anti-terrorism briefing, Fort Liberty issued a statement on Facebook, saying, “After conducting a commander’s inquiry, we determined that the slides presented on social media were not vetted by the appropriate approval authorities, and do not reflect the views of the XVIII Airborne Corps and Fort Liberty, the U.S. Army or the Department of Defense.”

Fort Liberty officials explained that the slides labeling pro-life groups as terrorist organizations were created by a local garrison employee to train troops stationed at Fort Liberty’s access control points.

The statement added, “These slides will no longer be used, and all future training products will be reviewed to ensure they align with the current DoD anti-terrorism guidance.”
