Donald Trump told the Republican National Convention ( RNC ) Thursday that, despite the pain and near-death experience of Saturday’s assassination attempt, he felt” serene” because” I had God on my side”.

President Trump began by praising Americans for the kindness and support they’ve shown. ” As you already know, the enemy’s bullet came within a quarter of an inch of taking my career. So many people have asked me what happened”, he said. ” And so I will tell you exactly what happened, and you’ll never learn it from me a next time, because it’s really very painful to tell”. Even as the blood poured out of his neck, he claimed to have felt God’s presence that time. Trump even paid tribute to Corey Comperatore, who died at the rally, and the people injured it. It was really a message of love, unification, and inspiring confidence.

He said to himself,” Wow, what was that? It can only be a gun. And]I ] moved my right hand to my ear, brought it down. My hands was completely blood all over, just completely body all over. I recognized right away that it was very troubling that we were being attacked. He praised the “brave Secret Service agents” who “rushed” to defend him.
” There was heart pouring everywhere”, Trump said. ” In a certain way, I felt quite safe, because I had God on my side. I felt that. The wonderful thing is that, prior to the picture, if I had hardly moved my mind at that very next moment, the enemy’s bullet would have completely struck its mark”. In the Bible ( see Leviticus 14), ironically, body on the right ear is a sign of anointing by God.

” Masses usually run for the return or stampede”, but not at that march, Trump emphasized.  , That,” thousands of people stood by and did no move]an inch], in fact many of them boldly but instantly stood up and began looking for the hero”. And” by no stampeding, countless lives were saved … the reason is that they knew I was in very serious problem, they saw that, they saw me come down, they saw the blood…they knew it was a shot to the head”.
Hearing bleed more than any other body piece, Trump said. But as his ear bled from the bullet,” this beautiful crowd, they did n’t want to leave me, they knew I was in trouble, you could see that love written all over their faces”.
He went on,” Guns were flying over us, yet I felt serene…the Secret Service agents were putting themselves in peril…and then it all stopped”. The murderer was taken out by a Secret Service shooter. ” I’m not supposed to be around tomorrow”, Trump stated. ” I stand before you in this space simply by Almighty God’s joy.” And in light of the reports over the past few days, many people believe it to be a Divine time. The “great, excellent pain” he saw in their heads struck Trump but that, he said,” I wanted to do something to let them know I was fine, I raised my right shoulder, I looked at all the hundreds of people…and started shouting,’ Fight! Battle! ‘”  ,
The RNC group swayed into” Battle! Battle”! And Trump went on to say that “like no audience I’ve ever heard before, the group realized I was fine and roared with delight for our nation when my clenched fist went away, and it was high into the air.” I’ll be grateful for the love that that crowd of patriots showed me for the rest of my life.

But Trump remembered that even though he survived, a patriot did not. ” Tragically the shooter claimed the life of one of our fellow Americans, Corey Comperatore…and seriously wounded two other great warriors”, who are “great people. I also spoke with these incredible people’s three families. Corey, the “highly respected former fire chief”, lost “his life selflessly, acting as a human shield to protect]his family ] from flying bullets…what a fine man he was”. Trump took a moment to walk over to the stage while Corey’s fireman jacket and helmet were on.
The former president demanded” a moment of silence in honor of our friend Corey” and expressed his gratitude for raising millions of dollars to pay the men who were hurt, as he called them. There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for others, according to the Bible, which brought America back to the heights of human achievement and greatness.
Despite” such a heinous attack, we unite this evening more determined than ever, I am more determined than ever”, Trump stated. Because our cause is pure and our vision is righteous, nothing can prevent me from having this vision. Our resolve is unbroken, and our purpose is unchanged.
He vowed,” I will never stop fighting for you, for your family, or for our magnificent nation. And he will give everything he has to give with all of his heart and soul. This election should be about “how to make America Great Again,” as opposed to” the elections facing our country”.

As Trump said,” I am running to be president of all of America”, and not just half of America.
