Just crowned Miss Kansas, Alexis Smith promised to “eliminate bad and aggressive” associations as the new “brand embassy” of the subject.
As she was chosen to represent the Sunflower State at the next month’s Miss America pageant, Alexis confronted her offender who was in the market.
” My perspective as the next Miss Kansas is to eliminate toxic and abusive associations”, Smith said on step, which was shared to her X accounts. Some of you inside the visitors saw me as very emotional because my offender is here right now.
” But that’s not going to stop me from being on this Miss Kansas phase and from representing as the next Miss Kansas because I, and my society, need good ties”.
Alexis Smith was praised and applauded by the audience for officially criticizing the offender.
Smith, who has the name of full-time cardiologist ICU nurse, made her speech more interesting.
Later, Smith later stated in a Twitter post,” On the evening of Miss Kansas, my trip took an unexpected turn when people I have been healing from attempted to destroy my serenity.”
” Instead of falling into solitude, I chose to live out my vision for a better world. I took back the power — not just for myself, but for my goals and anyone watching and listening”.
She explained that the call-out was n’t about” shunning others,” but rather that it was intended as a lesson for others to “turn pain into purpose and channel it in a way that unifies and uplifts.”
Smith’s courage even received praise from thousands of users on social media.
” Thank you so much for speaking your reality!!!! One Twitter user wrote,” You are inspiring, and I hope my child will meet you and learn how to use her power like you do.”
” I may not like this again. You ARE an enthusiasm Miss Alexis Smith &amp, Thank You for standing powerful &amp, real to yourself”, wrote another person.
Smith even received praise from the Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence, which praised her “bravery and lobbying” as” really inspiring”.
Alexis is a Wichita local, representing Butler County in the show, revealed that “every one person” in her home has been “impacted by local murder”.
” At the age of 14, I got into my first relationship, but it was also an abusive relationship that I was in until about 2018, 2019″, Smith told KSNW. It’s something I’m still going through and dealing with right now.
Miss Kansas claimed she used the platform to share her struggles and act as an “advocate” for others and that it” truly focuses on empowering women.”
And as a woman who has been a victim of domestic violence, survivor, and now an advocate as well as a young woman who is educationally driven, I have the opportunity to share my story on such a large scale and also go back to school.
Smith won over 26 others to secure a spot at next year’s Miss America pageant, scheduled in January. According to KSNW, her platform is based on” Respect Reclaimed: Advocating for Healthy Relationships”.
