But this claim Biden remains in the contest all the way to the agreement. That, he risks being humiliated by being rejected by his hand-picked members.  ,
Delegates who won in the primary elections are not required to cast a ballot for the member they were pledged to at the convention, but they can be replaced if the candidate decides they are not dedicated.
Democrats altered the rules in 1984 and made the possibility of an empty agreement possible.
Democrats rather adopted Rule 13. j, which states that “delegates elected to the regional agreement pledged to a political candidate may in all great consciousness reflect the views of those elected them.” That principle is still in consequence. Additionally, it gives these elected officials more than enough room to cut their votes for Biden.
