Some New Twists in the Election After Biden Drops Out

There have been a lot of strange things happening in the time since Joe Biden conceded defeat to Donald Trump in the 2024 vote. Kamala Harris is now attempting to win support for her national campaign, for example. Some Democrats, like the Story, have endorsed her. Others, like the Obamas, have rather expressed help for some kind of approach to find a new solution.

    Manchin 2024?

Perhaps the weirdest thing is that Sen. Joe Manchin (I-W. V. ) is now considering reregistering as a Democrat and running for the party’s presidential nomination.

CNN’s Jake Tapper was first to break this growth:

Independent of WV Sen. Joe Manchin, according to sources nearer to him, said he might consider re-registering as a Democrat and putting his hat in the circle.

    — Jake Tapper ( @jaketapper ) July 21, 2024

This was confirmed by Sam Stein of The Bulwark &amp, MSNBC:

Confirmed: Manchin is considering re-registering as a Democrat to move against Kamala Harris for the presidential election.

    — Sam Stein ( @samstein ) July 21, 2024

I really do n’t think Manchin is a viable Democratic candidate, but if he does announce his candidacy, it might make it easier for other Democrats to join in as well ( who might actually have a chance ).

    Newsom makes his shift

California Governor immediately after the news broke that Biden was leaving. Gavin Newsom made a strange choice.

Simply IN: Gov. Newsom will not be present at the pending Sacramento, California, U.S. Ninth Circuit court hearing monday.

No explanation provided by the event’s organizers, waiting to hear back from his business.

It appeared as though he had been activated and was prepared to declare his candidacy for the Democratic presidential election because he had been frequently viewed for more than a year as positioning himself to jump in if Biden dropped away.

Never so quickly. He has chosen to support Harris more than put up a challenge to her candidacy.

    Tough. Courageous. Tenacious.

With our democracy at play and our potential on the line, no one is better to sue the case against Donald Trump’s black perspective and guide our nation in a healthier manner than America’s Vice President, @KamalaHarris.

    — Gavin Newsom ( @GavinNewsom ) July 21, 2024

I’m not going to stay, I was expecting him to task her for the nomination. It’s been evident that he wants to run for leader. He expects Kamala Harris ( or any other Democrat ) to gain, and this action indicates that he wants a fresh start in 2028.

    Not Kamala

Joe Biden may have endorsed Kamala, but do n’t expect a coronation. A major Biden donor says he wo n’t fundraise for Harris if she’s the nominee. In an interview with ABC News, John Morgan, a prominent Florida prosecutor, said that he feels she’s too much left and may lose in November. After Biden’s support for Harris, Morgan left the Biden National Finance Committee. He believes—correctly—that Trump supporters would choose Harris as the player.

” If Trump World could find anyone to operate against, I think they pick her”, he said. ” If she’s a candidate, Mar a Lago has a true great party that night”.

Morgan reportedly described himself as a” Biden/Manchin form Dem”, which tells me that if Manchin runs, he’s got a big donation in his corner. &nbsp,
