Joe Biden, the president of the United States, ended his election campaign on Sunday. He stated in a notice posted on X that he would remain in office until the end of his term and that he would address the nation after this week regarding his decision.
Lawmakers and campaigning organizations react to the comments below.
    Former President Donald Trump
Former President Trump said in a telephone contact with CNN moments after Biden announced his return from the 2024 election that he was the worst senator in the country’s history. He is widely considered the worst senator in the history of our nation. According to CNN, Trump also claimed that he anticipated Vice President Kamala Harris ‘ battle would be simpler than Biden’s.
    Chuck Schumer, senate majority leader
” Joe Biden is a really incredible person, not just a great president and a fantastic legislative leader,” he said. His choice of course was never easy, but he once again put his nation, his gathering, and our coming first. Joe, now shows you are a true soldier and great National,” the Democrat said in a speech.
Elise Stefanik, House Republican convention director
” If Joe Biden can’t manage for re-election, he is able and unfit to serve as President of the United States. He had soon retire,” Stefanik said in a speech.
    Gavin Newsom, Governor of California
” President Biden has been an unusual, history-making leader — a president who has fought hard for working citizens and delivered remarkable effects for all Americans. He may be remembered as one of the most powerful and charitable leaders, Newsom wrote on X.
    Donald Trump Jr.
” Kamala Harris has Joe Biden’s full left-wing policy record. The only distinction is that she is actually even more democratic and less knowledgeable than Joe, which is true. She was given the reins over the frontier, and we witnessed the worst illegal immigration war in our record! ! ! ” Donald Jr. said on X.
Erich Pica, President of Friends of the Earth Action
We applaud President Biden’s decades of leadership and approve of the close of his re-election strategy. Biden has made some ancient moves to address the climate problems, including passing the Inflation Reduction Act and kicking-starting significant investments in renewable energy, despite being far from perfect.
Trump’s position on this election is unchanged: It may result in a full descent into culture chaos, according to Pica in a statement.
    Gretchen Whitmer, Governor of Michigan
” President Biden is a fantastic open servant who is more than any other person who is aware of Donald Trump’s defeat.” His extraordinary work to reduce prescription drug costs, repair the damned highways, bring supply chains house, address climate change, and maintain America’s international leadership over decades will come down in history. My career in this vote will be the same: I’ll do anything I can to win the votes for Democrats and stop Donald Trump, a former felon who has an abhorrent agenda that would harm Michigan by raising the cost of abortion, banning abortion in every country, and using the White House’s power to live his own scores, Whitmer said on X.
Several responses from all over the globe are outlined below.
Scandinavian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere
” I esteem Joe Biden’s determination never to work for re-election. That explanation merits value, Stoere told the regional broadcaster NRK. Over the past few years, Biden has been one of America’s most well-known officials and leader who has implemented a number of significant changes. “
Donald Tusk, the excellent minister of Poland,
” Mr. President @JoeBiden, many times you have made hard decisions that have made Poland, America, and the universe safer, and democracy and freedom stronger. I am aware that you made the same recommendations when making your most recent selection. possibly the most challenging situation in your life. “
    Bohemian PM Petr Fiala
It is definitely the choice of a politician who has spent years serving his country. It is a wise and challenging action for me, but it is also worth it. I’m keeping my hopes high for the United States that a strong president emerges from a political primary against two identical and strong candidates. “
