Joe Biden resigned from the US national election for 2024, and endorsed Kamala Harris, who attracted a lot of press coverage.
I have chosen to not accept the nomination and to concentrate all of my energies on my responsibilities as President for the duration of my expression, my friend Democrats. Kamala Harris was my first choice for my sin president as the party nomination for 2020. And it’s been the best choice I’ve made. I want to express my full help and support for Kamala as the party’s nomination for this year. Democrats — it’s time to come up and hit Trump. This would this”, Biden said in a blog on X.
While the majority of newspapers stuck to the simple headline” Biden loses race,” some chose to” Biden bows out” or perhaps “bowed to the inevitable” instead.
The Times of India went with the puns on the US government’s name flashing the article–” Bye, Done: Biden Drops Out Of Race, Endorses Kamala”
The Washington Post went with” Biden exits culture” followed by an essay titled–” After miscues and remakes, past opens a entry” for Kamala Harris.
The Guardian featured” Biden’s return from the civilization” and the paper described “remarkable option” as plunging” the US into turmoil only weeks before the vote”. It noted that the choice followed “weeks of force from Democrat leaders, administrators, and donors”.
The Financial Times published a statement stating that Kamala Harris has withdrawn from the White House race and endorsed Harris as his son in addition to another article that claimed the decision has placed her in “unchartered country”.
With a large unhappy picture of the US senator, Daily Express said,” Trump quits”, adding that he caved “in to stress after disastrous debate”.
Calling it a” sad end”, Metro went with” Biden bows out”.
The New York Post reported how political analyst Van Jones broke down on heat while discussing Biden’s exit from the competition in an article titled” Liberal press goes into panic mode after Biden drops out: Van Jones screams on heat, Jen Psaki struggles for terms.”
” He’s fighting and he’s fighting and everybody’s so upset. The keys are eventually returned after that. And finally you only cry”, Jones said.
