Since Kamala Harris ‘ appointment as vice president, an investigation from government watchdog group Open the Books ( OTB ) revealed on Monday that the office has experienced an astronomical 91.5 percent turnover rate. Just four of the 47 employees Harris hired as of March 2024 apparently remained in her position.  ,
The review comes as Biden’s X accounts announced he will” have down” from his election campaign and “fully help” Harris as the new candidate. OTB utilized U. S. Senate statements to get information from the evil mayor’s office, including 2021 and 2024 payments.  ,
” Chaos reigns on the vice president’s staff”, wrote OTB leader Adam Andrzejewski. An “extraordinary great 91.5-percent personnel turnover rate” was quantified by our OpenTheBooks auditors.
Payments provide more information into the” team exodus” in Harris ‘ office. Within a month and a half of her taking office in January 2021, Harris ‘ communications director, national security adviser, chief of staff, and many assistants left, according to The Atlantic’s report from October 2023.  ,
” Furthermore, the turnover chaos is n’t getting better. In the trailing 12-month time, 24 staffers left — that’s about half the workers”, Andrzejewski wrote.
Additionally, Harris ‘ office’s investigation revealed budget disparities and a lack of accountability.  , As Andrzejewski said,” Kamala Harris, Office of Vice President, is committed to the transparency of its payments and all other business information”.
A spokesman reportedly declined the request and claimed the vice president’s office was exempt from FOIA when OTB requested a Freedom of Information Act ( FOIA ) request for Harris ‘ staff payroll in September 2021. Harris ‘ company responded with a request for any accountability, and the official responded that Harris did not “have any information to share at this time.”
In a 2021 Forbes article enlarging the conversation, Andrzejewski wrote that” the VP’s dismissal makes her the least visible elected business owner in the country.” Citizens should be concerned that the candidate who will be in the running for president is but hesitant to reveal how their money is spent.
OTB’s investigation also revealed a more than$ 2 million discrepancy in Harris ‘ allocation of taxpayer funds.
” We calculated that for VP Harris’s 28 staff listed in the Senate report, the 2021 salaries added up to$ 2, 334, 223″, Andrzejewski wrote. But the vice president’s office “got$ 5 million for 23 full time staff in 2021 and requested over$ 6 million for 27 full time staff in 2022”.
Harris ‘ company reportedly declined to respond to any inquiries from OTB regarding this contradiction. OTB claims that its analysis reflects the function that has been widely reported in the business press, which he claims has caused a” team exodus” of key advisers” to the departs.”
Staff members at Harris ‘ office have reported a toxic work environment since The Washington Post spoke with 18 people in Harris ‘ orbit since 2021. Information ranged from “uncomfortable” to” soul-destroying”.
Former Harris secretary and Democrat strategist Gil Duran told the Post,” One of the things we’ve said in our little words groups among each other is what is the typical ratio through all this and it’s she,” Again in 2013, after only five months of working for Harris, he quit. ” Who are the next talented people you’re going to bring in and burn through and then have ]them ] pretend they’re retiring for positive reasons”.
Some said Harris blamed team for her lack of preparation.
A previous private employee told the Post,” It’s obvious that you’re not working with someone who is willing to do the training and the work.” You have to deal with a lot of soul-destroying censure and her own lack of confidence with Kamala. So you’re constantly kind of supporting a troublemaker, and it’s not really clear why.
