In the first warfare, women and children suffer the most. A baby son survived after his mother died in an Israeli air attack, as a result of a heartbreaking tragedy in Gaza.
In the midst of a conflict that has claimed the lives of over 39, 000 Palestinians and destroyed much of the area, Ola Al-Kurd, nine months pregnant, was eager to see whether her child would arrive.
” She wanted to hold her baby and fill our house with his presence”, Ola’s parents Adnan Al-Kurd said. Tragically, Ola always experienced that important moment. On July 19, an Israeli attack hit the home residence in Al-Nuseirat, key Gaza, according to her parents Adnan Al-Kurd. The blast threw Ola some floors over, causing her dying in the house that sheltered women, children, and the elderly.
Unexpectedly, her child and father survived, with the latter being hospitalized. ” It’s a miracle that the fetus stayed alive inside of her when she was martyred ( died )”, Adnan Al-Kurd remarked, reflecting on a photo of his daughter’s graduation.
Since Israel launched its unpleasant in Gaza on October 7th, last year in response to a cross-border attack by Israeli Hamas militants, the explosion, along with many others, has claimed the lives of numerous household members.
A ceasefire is still elusive despite many attempts by American, Qatari, and Egyptian mediators, making it highly unlikely that Israeli airstrikes and shelling will stop soon.
Against all probabilities, surgeons at Al Awda clinic in Nuseirat, where Ola was immediately taken after the attack, safely delivered the kitten, Malek Yassin. After that, the girl was transferred to Al Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah, where an uncle lightly touched his face while he rested in an embryo.
” Thank God, this mother’s life was saved and he is now dead and well,” physician Khalil Al-Dakran, according to Reuters ‘ news agency, at the hospital, where some medical facilities have been destroyed during the nine-month war.
Al-Kurd examines photos of his three delayed children who perished in the Gaza battle, noting that Yassin’s child has the same white hair as his late uncle Omar. ” I go visit him daily. He is a part of me”, he said.
Kids who survive the constant Jewish assault find no rest as the conflict continues to wreak havoc in the densely occupied Gaza Strip.
According to Al-Dakran,” we are actually facing really great difficulties in the hospital department,” citing a shortage of crucial medication and supplies as well as concerns that the hospital generator could malfunction at any time due to fuel shortage.
Throughout underprivileged Gaza, facilities have been demolished or heavily damaged during the war, which erupted when Hamas-led soldiers attacked Israel, killing 1, 200 people and taking over 250 victims, according to Israeli records.
Israel countered with an air and ground rude that has claimed the lives of more than 39, 000 Civilians, as reported by Gaza’s Hamas-run health department, and has flattened much of the southern province.
What is the problem of this baby to begin his career in hard, terrible situation, without the most basic necessities of life? Dakran questioned.
At least 16, 000 babies of Gaza have lost their lives in the Israel-Hamas fight thus far.
