In a heartfelt Oval Office address on Wednesday, President Joe Biden praised Vice President Kamala Harris, the presumptive Democratic nominee for the upcoming presidential election, calling her” tough” and” capable”. Biden made his first public remarks since deciding to support Harris and retreat from the 2024 election.
” She’s experienced, she’s tough, she’s ready. She has been a fantastic companion to me and a head for our nation. Today, the choice is up to you, the American people”, Biden said, emphasizing his trust in Harris as she steps into the position of the Democratic pioneer.
Biden went on to understand,” there’s a day and a place for fresh voices, new voices, yes— younger voices”.
The chairman thanked Harris for her efforts and urged voters to assist her in the forthcoming election in Biden’s speech, which focused on the country’s future. ” In just a few decades, the American people will choose the course of America’s future. I made my decision. I made my opinions known. I would like to bless our fantastic Vice President Kamala Harris”, Biden said, reiterating his support.
The government’s target came after a period of domestic group force and attention over his age and health, specially following a less-than-stellar conversation performance. In order to address these issues, Biden made the decision to ignore them and instead pledged to carry on his plan goals for the duration of his name.
” I’ll be working on foreign and domestic policy”, Biden confirmed, highlighting his devotion to driving his president’s goals ahead despite his impending exit from the presidential race.
In closing, Biden urged citizens to weigh Harris ‘ abilities and strengths when choosing between her and former US President Donald Trump.
Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre characterized any suggestion that Biden would step down from his position prior to the election, which would help Harris to work as an incumbent, as “ridiculous.”
Jean-Pierre said Biden has” no regrets” about his decision to stay in the race as long as he did, or his decision to quit it over the weekends. She said Biden’s choice had nothing to do with his wellbeing.
Trump, who watched Biden’s comment from his private flight, posted on his social media platform that the president “was scarcely natural, and sooo negative”!
